Toyota<\/strong> has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer<\/strong> who will be based at the company headquarters in 1 Toyota-ch\u014d, Toyota City in Japan. Kenta Kon<\/strong> san (57<\/strong>) will succeed Koji Sato<\/strong> san, who has been CEO for the past three years. Sato san will become company Vice Chairman<\/strong>, working alongside Chairman Akio Toyoda<\/strong> san, whom Sato san himself succeeded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kon san has a degree in Economics<\/strong> and was previously Toyoda san\u2019s secretary. He is currently the company Chief Financial Officer<\/strong>. Last year Toyota sold 11.3 million cars<\/strong> globally, and is projected to be on a path to making $23.8 billion (around R381 billion<\/strong>) profit for the financial year ending this April.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
