Renault<\/strong> continues executing its comeback<\/strong>, with the upcoming 2027 Bridger<\/strong> leading the charge for emerging markets<\/strong>. Shown in this boxy concept<\/strong> form, the Bridger is a rugged, sub-compact SUV<\/strong> that channels its squared-off jawlines<\/strong>, a rear-mounted spare wheel, and that no-nonsense look that screams adventure. At just under 4 metres<\/strong> long, it’s noticeably shorter<\/strong> than the current Duster<\/strong>, positioning it as a compact, urban<\/strong> car that still packs presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Power-wise, expect a multi-energy<\/strong> approach that keeps things flexible: pure petrol<\/strong> engines for the, hybrid<\/strong> systems for better efficiency, and even full-electric variants promised to deliver best-in-class<\/strong> range and performance in the segment<\/strong>. Renault’s betting big on this one being developed in India<\/strong>, with production kicking<\/strong> off there before the end of 2027, then rolling out gradually<\/strong> to other key markets like Mzansi and the Middle East<\/strong>. It’s part of the brand’s broader international<\/strong> offensive, said to be around 14 new models<\/strong> by 2030<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside we expect some clever space<\/strong> packaging, with claims of 400 litres<\/strong> of boot space and class-generous rear legroom. A relatively high driving position for good visibility, practical touches<\/strong>, and that French polish<\/strong> Renault is bringing to the table should make it feel premium<\/strong> despite the compact dimensions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s obviously still very early days yet, but if the production<\/strong> version stays true to this concept<\/strong>, it could give the likes of Suzuki Jimny<\/strong> some serious competition<\/strong>. We\u2019ll be watching closely as 2027 approaches.
