The event was hosted by one of the <strong>Goliath<\/strong> comedian brothers and attended by a large group of Jetour <strong>customers<\/strong> and <strong>dealers<\/strong>, as well as the <strong>media<\/strong>. To be honest, such has never worked. Jetour mixing these two different groups was not a great idea, manifested by <strong>finger food<\/strong> (not the best) that left many of us unsatisfied, and a <strong>lackluster bar<\/strong>. Starting with the <strong>T1 i-DM<\/strong>, which has a plug-in Hybrid powertrain to the tune of <strong>250kW<\/strong> of power and <strong>530Nm<\/strong> of torque. Jetour says it is good for a total system range \u2013 <strong>full tank<\/strong> and <strong>full battery pack<\/strong> \u2013 of <strong>1 200km<\/strong>, with the <strong>electric range<\/strong> being <strong>100km<\/strong> on its own. These are really <strong>impressive<\/strong> numbers and essentially mean the T1 i-DM can <strong>theoretically<\/strong> do a <strong>return trip<\/strong> between <strong>Johannesburg<\/strong> and <strong>Durban<\/strong> using only one tank and one full charge. Maximum power and torque went up to <strong>265kW<\/strong> and <strong>610Nm<\/strong> respectively. Both the T1 and T2 i-DM units thus return what one would characterise as serious hot hatch power figures. But of course the <strong>Chinese<\/strong> pair do weigh much more than hot hatches, therefore performance would not be the same. Again, a <strong>1 200km<\/strong> range is said to be achievable with the T2 i-DM, even as it offers slightly less <strong>electric-only<\/strong> range of <strong>90km<\/strong>. According to the company, Jetour will soon begin to <strong>assemble<\/strong> &nbsp;in CKD form \u2013 not completely manufacture from scratch \u2013 some models in <strong>Mzansi<\/strong>. Specifically which models, is currently not clear. However, remember that Jetour is part of the <strong>Chery<\/strong> group of companies, and Chery has already confirmed that it will be taking over the Nissan manufacturing Plant in <strong>Rosslyn<\/strong>, Tshwane. Therefore it seems Jetour might be <strong>sharing<\/strong> those <strong>facilities<\/strong> with its parent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default
