Porsche AG<\/strong> has been going through some fairly rough times<\/strong> lately, what with a major<\/strong> sales drop<\/strong> in its single biggest market China<\/strong>. As such, the company has been executing several layoff plans and cost-cutting<\/strong> measures, including the recent one to divest from the joint Bugatti Rimac<\/strong> venture. The latest plan is to close three non-core subsidiaries<\/strong>, with the subsequent result that around 500 people<\/strong> will lose<\/strong> their jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three subsidiaries are Cellforce Group<\/strong>, Porsche eBike Performance<\/strong>, and Cetitec<\/strong>. Cellforce is a battery technology developer (focused on EV battery<\/strong> cells) based in Kirchentellinsfurt, Germany, while eBike Performance handled e-bike drive systems<\/strong> and performance components, with operations in Ottobrunn (near Munich), Germany, and Zagreb, Croatia. It will account for the largest share of cuts, around 360 positions<\/strong>. Cetitec is a software company<\/strong> specialising in data communications and automotive software<\/strong>, based in Pforzheim, Germany (with some roles in Croatia).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
