Just when the car was getting in its stride as far as sales are concerned, it\u2019s almost time for the Land Rover Defender <\/strong>to get a facelift. Perhaps JLR<\/strong> did not necessarily anticipate the mega success <\/strong>(115 000 units sold in 2025) the burly SUV has received since it first appeared six years<\/strong> ago. Otherwise why tempt fate by \u201cimproving\u201d on a winning formula<\/strong>? Nevertheless, here we are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you can tell from this barely-camouflaged 110<\/strong> example, much of the work \u2013 expectedly<\/strong> \u2013 is on the front and rear ends. The front grille<\/strong> and lower bumper will most certainly be redesigned<\/strong>, whether heavily or otherwise. Parts of the lights cluster<\/strong> are also getting slightly reworked<\/strong>. The rear rooftop<\/strong> seems to receive a type of cap, and the lower<\/strong> rear bumper<\/strong> has some new bits changed. Surprisingly \u2013 or not \u2013 the interior could also see some updates; otherwise why would Land Rover be covering<\/strong> those rear seats<\/strong>? The interior door linings appear to be the same as current. Updated infotainment<\/strong> systems will be the order of the day, although we cannot yet tell if the screen itself will be different or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the powertrain<\/strong> situation evolving so quickly, it would not be amiss to guess that some added plugin Hybrid<\/strong> options will be available, while reducing the number of diesels<\/strong> in the mix.
