W<\/strong>hen Nissan<\/strong> first launched the current-generation GT-R <\/strong>back in 2007 (2009 in Mzansi<\/strong>), the world stood still. It\u2019s kind of been standing still ever since with each improvement of this stunning<\/strong> performer. Well it\u2019s not over. There is a new version coming next year called the GT-R Nismo<\/strong>. These are the spy pictures as you see them, taken at the Nurburgring<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have reason to believe this is the last hurrah<\/strong> for the current GT-R as a replacement is already under conceptualisation. Still powered by the same 3.8-litre V6<\/strong> twin turbo engine, the GT-R Nismo is going to use several different weight-loss<\/strong> mechanisms, like liberal carbon fibre<\/strong>. There\u2019s also a massive rear wing to assist with downforce<\/strong>, lest the beast desire to take off and fly high in the sky.
Although no official figures<\/strong> have been released yet, we are told it could produce around 425kW<\/strong> of power and would be able to sprint from 0 \u2013 100km\/h in just 2 seconds<\/strong>.
