Toyota<\/strong> is pressing on with the development<\/strong> of a new super car<\/strong>. At this point in time we are not sure if it will be branded a Lexus<\/strong> or a Toyota<\/strong>. Whatever it may be, it looks like it means business, judging from these spy pictures<\/strong> of the car captured at Germany\u2019s Nurburgring<\/strong> by the Nordschleife<\/strong> side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The long nose, bonnet and general body structure suggests a strong powertrain<\/strong>, possibly a V8<\/strong> or a V6-based Hybrid<\/strong>. Toyota currently produces both<\/strong>, so this would not be far-fetched<\/strong>. What it\u2019s not, is fully-electric. Company Chairman Akio Toyoda<\/strong> has made it clear that his grandfather\u2019s company will continue producing petrol-powered<\/strong> cars well beyond 2030<\/strong>. And cars powered by petrol would be his preference when it comes to overall performance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
