BMW<\/strong> is updating its M Performance<\/strong> range, starting with the M240i<\/strong>, M340i and M440i<\/strong>. The updated cars begin production<\/strong> in November<\/strong> and will go on sale in several markets during 2026<\/strong>. The main update concerns the powertrains<\/strong>, which have received notable bumps<\/strong> in power, and are now on par with competitors\u2019<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting with the baby M240i, as it now turns out 288kW<\/strong> and 540Nm<\/strong> of torque, while returning a claimed 8 litres per 100km<\/strong> in average fuel consumption. The M340i and M440i also carry the same amount of power outputs<\/strong>, but are said to give less fuel consumption, hovering in the 7.7s<\/strong>. All models are fitted with BMW\u2019s xDrive<\/strong> all-wheel drive (AWD<\/strong>) system for better traction<\/strong> and grip<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BMW has not supplied the sprint<\/strong> time for the M240i<\/strong>. However, the bigger siblings<\/strong> both achieve a claimed 0 – 100km\/h<\/strong> time of 4.3 seconds<\/strong> each.
