Ferrari<\/strong> has detailed the battery system<\/strong> that will power its first-ever electric car<\/strong> \u2013 currently nicknamed Elettrica<\/strong> – when it appears in 2026<\/strong>. Without any big details<\/strong> as to whether it will be a sedan, sports coupe<\/strong> or SUV<\/strong> yet, though we believe it will be this car pictured below here<\/strong>. Ferrari has just laid the foundation<\/strong> for its future through this battery system. Mind you, the company is not abandoning<\/strong> its big V12<\/strong> engines anytime soon either. Both powertrains<\/strong> will run concurrently, guided by market demand<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the 880V-based<\/strong> battery pack would be located directly beneath<\/strong> the cabin, the rest wits right at the back. Ferrari says the system is engineered<\/strong> light, for better weight distribution<\/strong>, efficiency and for expected performance<\/strong>. Interestingly, the entire battery pack can be completely removed<\/strong> from the car without disturbing<\/strong> other connected<\/strong> components, for whatever reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As far as maximum power is concerned, the Italian brand reckons it would gather upwards of 730kW<\/strong> at a go, enabling the car to sprint from 0 \u2013 100km\/h<\/strong> in just 2.5 seconds<\/strong>. Top speed is envisaged at over 310km\/h<\/strong>. Importantly, Ferrari says the new Elettrica will return a driving range<\/strong> of over 530km<\/strong> from a full battery pack.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
