JAC<\/strong> introduced 24 special edition T9 bakkie<\/strong> models to its customers, and all units were immediately snapped up. Called the T9 Hunter Limited Edition<\/strong>, the model is a celebration of JAC\u2019s 24-hour endurance record<\/strong> run at the government\u2019s Gerotek<\/strong> testing facility last year, where the T9 covered 4 084km<\/strong> at an average speed of 170.1km\/h<\/strong>. The point of that exercise was to showcase the car\u2019s reliability<\/strong> and strength.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the T9 Hunter, JAC is showcasing something else; individual<\/strong> appeal. While the regular T9 already stands out, thanks to that menacing<\/strong> front grille, the Hunter edition is more subdued<\/strong>. The powertrain has been improved though, ultimately giving the car more torque. At current levels, the 2.0-litre turbo diesel<\/strong> motor \u2013 paired to an 8-speed ZF<\/strong> automatic transmission – offers 144kW<\/strong> and 487Nm<\/strong> of pulling torque, with a matching braked towing capacity of 3 500kg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For added visual appeal, JAC fitted items like a tow bar, tonneau cover, Artav nudge<\/strong> and style bars with branded writing<\/strong>, and an interior with branded headrests<\/strong> among others. Hunter branding on the bodywork is also quite visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
