Toyota<\/strong> is readying the next-generation Hilux<\/strong> \u2013 one of the world\u2019s favourite bakkies<\/strong> \u2013 for an official reveal on Monday, 10 November 2025<\/strong>. But already some of the car\u2019s key Eastern markets<\/strong> like Australia<\/strong> and Thailand<\/strong> have revealed these teaser<\/strong> pictures of the Hilux\u2019s silhouette<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is quite apparent is that this is a rather heavy update<\/strong>, rather than an all-new car. Some are calling it an extreme facelift, but a facelift nonetheless<\/strong>. From our limited perspective<\/strong> we see a masculine<\/strong> design, with a strong front end, contoured<\/strong> bonnet and J-shaped<\/strong> rear lights. At this point one cannot tell how much longer and wider this car is compared to the current model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, we do know that it will also be manufactured at the company\u2019s Prospecton Plant<\/strong> in Durban<\/strong> from 2026<\/strong> as is the current model, with a choice of powertrains<\/strong> and include the trusted 2.4-litre<\/strong> and 2.8-litre<\/strong> turbo diesels, a Hybrid of some sort and a fully-electric<\/strong> model, although the latter is not necessarily for Mzansi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
