Well, judging by the <strong>powertrain<\/strong>, there should not be any <strong>issues<\/strong> in that department. <strong>Strapped<\/strong> with the <strong>trusted<\/strong>, proven and long-living 4-cylinder, <strong>2.8-litre turbo diesel<\/strong> motor, the vehicle is able to produce some <strong>150kW<\/strong> of power between 3 000rpm and 3 400rpm. At the same time, maximum torque of <strong>500Nm<\/strong> is at hand from as early as 1 600rpm, all the way up to 2 800rpm. Mated to it is a <strong>6-speed automatic<\/strong> transmission across the Legend 55 range. The leather-covered <strong>steering wheel<\/strong> with multi functions feels solid and can be adjusted to suit different-sized drivers. These include ABS brakes, <strong>Park Distance Control<\/strong>, a <strong>reverse camera system<\/strong>, Hill Assist Control for moving off hills without rolling backwards, <strong>Lane Keeping System<\/strong> and others. Part of the physical protection package are the <strong>driver<\/strong>, driver knees, passenger, side, and <strong>curtain airbags<\/strong> we all wish we will never need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new Toyota Hilux Legend 55 is ready to cement the brand\u2019s <strong>iconic status<\/strong> in the Mzansi market, aiming to continue where the first Hilux to land here in <strong>1969<\/strong> left off.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Previously we wondered if the new Toyota Hilux Legend 55 is actually capable, and not just a pretty face.
