These official <strong>spy pictures<\/strong> show the <strong>prototype<\/strong> testing in <strong>ice<\/strong> and <strong>snow<\/strong>. It is the same tech found in the new <strong>iX3<\/strong> that has an <strong>800km range<\/strong>. EV batteries are quite heavy, but van Meel reckons it will be light and nimble, with no less than <strong>four motors<\/strong> attached to <strong>each wheel<\/strong>. This assists not only with <strong>excellent balance<\/strong>, but also <strong>instant power<\/strong> delivery to the right wheel at all times. Simultaneously, the two front motors can be totally <strong>deactivated<\/strong> so only the rear axle has power, creating a <strong>rear-wheel drive<\/strong> (RWD) system that is typically BMW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We expect the M3 to <strong>launch<\/strong> in the coming year. Hopefully something will be shown at the <strong>2026 BMW M Festival<\/strong> which will happen in the <strong>middle of the year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BMW is forging ahead with a fully-electric M3.
