Porsche <\/strong>has changed its tactics<\/strong> somewhat, as lower global sales bite<\/strong>. One of Germany\u2019s finest was due to accelerate its electrification<\/strong> programme, with a number of models either getting electrified (Hybrid), or completely replaced by electric models (Macan<\/strong>). Demand<\/strong> for electric cars has cooled<\/strong> off over the past 18 months, no thanks to among others, Trump tariffs<\/strong> and the cancellation of EV subsidies. As such, we are now entering a new age<\/strong> for Porsche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the lower end<\/strong> of things, we see a new sub-compact SUV<\/strong> powered by petrol engines<\/strong> and electric motors; Hybrid. It essentially replaces the Macan, which is now fully-electric<\/strong> only. The new baby should officially see the day of light in 2027<\/strong>, sharing its Hybrid underpinnings<\/strong> with some of the Volkswagen Group\u2019s other products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the other scale of things is the big SUV, probably sporting 7 seats<\/strong> and making it the largest<\/strong> Porsche<\/strong> ever built. It will compete<\/strong> against the likes of BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS, as well as the upcoming Audi Q9, with which it shares a platform<\/strong>. Likely powertrains are plug-in Hybrid<\/strong> and fully electric<\/strong>. It will be on the roads by 2029<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
