ASTON MARTIN VANQUISH SPIED ON TRACK

Believe it or not, Aston Martin is still in the business of producing luxury super cars, despite business being quite tough out there. Why, in 2023 parent company Aston Martin Lagonda showed a £111 million (about R2.5 billion) Operating Loss, which dropped to a £99.5 million Operating Loss for 2024, but climbed sharply in 2025 to reach £259.2 million. Nevertheless, they are still in business, as these spy pictures of the new Vanquish show.

Probably sporting a bi-turbo 5.2-litre V12 engine, the new Vanquish was spotted stretching its legs around the Nurburgring’s Nordschlefe proving ground. Known for its Grand Tourer status, the Vanquish features a new front and rear end among others, as well as what looks like a total of six exhaust tailpipes. Power will exceed the 600kW mark, while the 0 – 100km/h sprint time should edge ever closer to the 3 second mark.

Mzansi prices are not yet available of course, but we guesstimate it at around R13 million a pop, meaning they will be just about as rare on our roads as an honest politician.
