Audi is going ahead with the Q9 flagship SUV, as these new official interior shots show. The Q9 will go on sale in Europe within the next two months, while other markets will receive it in 2027. With up to 7 seats available for occupants, Audi is marketing the Q9 as a spacious, luxury SUV that is suitable for the high end customer with a number of family members. Positioned higher than the Q8, the big Audi will doubtless also reflect its position in price.

Some of the features that are mentioned include the 7 aforementioned seats with an option of taking 6 instead, an illuminated panoramic sunroof with switchable transparency, electrically opening and closing doors with sensors that stop them from smashing into walls while opening, and an updated Bang & Olufsen premium sound system with what Audi is calling 4D sound.

“With the Q9, ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ is increasingly defined by the in-car experience,” says Audi CEO Gernot Döllner. “Cars have long been much more than just a means of transportation; they are mobile living spaces for our customers. Premium materials, variable seating with individual electric seats in the second row, and automatic doors underscore the commitment to quality in our new, large full-size SUV.”
