Mitsubishi unveiled the new Destinator, which will be sold in many different markets around the world, including Mzansi. The Destinator is a 7-seater with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, and comes with a number of features that Mitsubishi reckons will be attractive to potential customers. With the new Mitsubishi Motors South Africa Managing Director, Mr Takalani Bruce Mukhola at the helm, the brand looks to enter a new growth chapter in the local market.
The Destinator – built a the company’s Plant in Indonesia – will be launched in Mzansi next month (March 2026). It produces 120kW and 250Nm of torque from that engine, with the two front wheels doing all the pulling work. A CVT acts as the system driver and is fitted with 5 driving modes.
