JAGUAR GT IN FINAL TESTING GROUNDS

Jaguar’s fully-electric 4-door GT is undergoing the last of its developmental tests ahead of the international reveal later in the year. Since JLR decided a few years ago that Jaguar would become an electric-only brand, the GT has been the poster child of this renaissance, sometimes to the brand’s detriment. It’s a large bet but it seems JLR – and perhaps more importantly – its parent Tata Group, is willing to make.

Testing is taking place in all sorts of environments, including the Arctic where extremely cold temperatures are a daily occurrence, to extremely hot places. Fact is, this car is the most tested Jaguar ever developed.

Areas of focus at the current moment include chassis systems and the harmony between the powertrain and other critical components. Speaking of powertrain, Jaguar promises at least 735kW of power from the 3 motors installed in the car. They also promise a super balance between mind blowing performance, and Jaguar-centric comfort and handling.
