ALL-NEW AUDI Q7 TEASED

Audi launched the Q7 nameplate in 2005 and redefined what a large premium family SUV should be. That Q7 – preceding its Volkswagen-branded Touareg sibling – also paved the way for the likes of Porsche Cayenne and Bentley Bentayga. In fact, Audi became so proficient in producing SUVs that the Volkswagen Group later tasked it with production of all its premium and luxury SUVs. Fast forward to 2026 and we now are on the cusp of the next-generation Q7.

While Audi has not said or revealed much about the big guy, we do know that it will spearhead a new direction for itself in the family. We expect the Q7 to remain a 7-seater in honour of versatility and utility. We also expect powertrains to stay innovative, with petrol Hybrids and diesels making the final cut. Audi promises “a sporty, powerful design, a highly versatile interior, first-class materials, user-centric technologies, and a wide spectrum of driving characteristics, from comfortable to dynamic.”

The all-new, third-generation Audi Q7 will make its world debut in the next few months, with Mzansi sales beginning in 2027. In a number of markets it will be sold alongside the upcoming, and bigger Q9.
