While BYD has not yet stated the car’s power figure, its new Atto 2 DM-i will sure impress with a different set of numbers. Set to launch internationally in the next few weeks, the sub compact SUV features a hybrid system similar to the one used by the Seal U DM-i to return some really good numbers and set itself apart from would-be competitors.
Because it has a petrol and power battery component, the car is a hybrid, with plug-in capabilities. All that BYD will confirm is that the Atto 2 DM-i can travel up to 90km on electric power only, using its battery system. The best piece of information though, is that it is apparently capable of 1 000km range when both the petrol tank and battery pack are full.
This is very impressive for a car of its size, which is similar in size to the likes of GWM Jolion and Toyota Urban Cruiser.
