With electric cars currently under pressure in markets where they have been quite strong, Porsche is one of the manufacturers feeling some heat. Regardless, development work is well advanced with the upcoming new Cayenne Electric, which is shown here in disguise during an event in England.
Porsche will apparently be selling both electric and petrol versions of the Cayenne side by side in certain markets, while other markets will only get one version. We believe Mzansi will be getting both. Running on the company’s new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) will run 800V systems, reducing battery weight, increasing performance and range.
