Toyota is pressing on with the development of a new super car. At this point in time we are not sure if it will be branded a Lexus or a Toyota. Whatever it may be, it looks like it means business, judging from these spy pictures of the car captured at Germany’s Nurburgring by the Nordschleife side.

The long nose, bonnet and general body structure suggests a strong powertrain, possibly a V8 or a V6-based Hybrid. Toyota currently produces both, so this would not be far-fetched. What it’s not, is fully-electric. Company Chairman Akio Toyoda has made it clear that his grandfather’s company will continue producing petrol-powered cars well beyond 2030. And cars powered by petrol would be his preference when it comes to overall performance.
