Chery continues to capture the hearts (and wallets) of South Africans looking for a small, reasonably-priced SUV to buy. This is after the brand as a whole sold 2 210 brand new cars in the month of October 2025. That figure put Chery at number 8 in the total list of best-selling manufacturers in Mzansi for last month. Although the brand did maintain position, a slight slip in actual units sold was experienced, compared to the 2 264 cars sold in September 2025.
So which were the leading models for Chery in October? Have a look below:
- Tiggo 4: 1 725 units
- Tiggo 7: 323
- Tiggo 8: 121
- Tiggo 9: 41
Understandably the Tiggo 4 range leads the pack, as the brand’s entry-level car whose pricing starts at R269 900 for the base model, going up to R439 900 for the Tiggo Cross CSH Hybrid.
“We’re thrilled that the Tiggo 4 range continues to capture the imagination of South African motorists,” commented Jay Jay Botes, General Manager for Chery South Africa. “This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering vehicles that combine advanced technology, striking design, and exceptional value. The Tiggo 4 range embodies everything Chery stands for—quality, innovation, and a genuine understanding of our customers’ needs.”
